Enrique J. Zaldivar

Enrique J. Zaldivar is a managing partner at Inspired-Inc., professor of leadership coaching and organization development, and author of Your Unique Cultural Lens: A guide to Cultural Competence. He has worked with over 10,000 leaders in 50 countries in a wide range of sectors, and has individually coached over 1,000 C-level executives, VPs, and leaders in industry, technology, the arts, elected office, and in mid-level management in Fortune-500 multinationals, midsize companies, non-profit organisations, supra-nationals, and governments.
Enrique is convinced that effective leaders create the right cultural conditions for organizational success, producing sustainable results and rewarding workplaces. His approach to consulting and coaching (Inspired Leading) emphasizes harnessing the creative energy between being authentic and being accountable.
An engineer, mathematician, and financier by training, Enrique’s professional journey has included many leadership positions ranging from CEO of a retail company to regional director of a large construction firm, and from chief risk officer at an international bank to university professor. He understands the pressures placed on leaders and skilfully guides them in a process of self-discovery, prioritization, and action. He currently teaches at Georgetown University, and has also taught at American University, Universidad Iberoamericana, LaSalle University, and Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).
He lives in the Washington, DC area. An aspiring “Renaissance man”, he practices Qigong and meditation daily, enjoys hiking, music, reading, and painting oil canvases, and is currently learning to ride horses. He is the proud father of two and grandfather of two granddaughters.
Enrique holds an ICF-Certificate in Leadership Coaching from Georgetown University, a PD in Management Science & Finance and an MS in Operations Research, both from George Washington University in Washington, DC, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from La Salle University in Mexico City. He is also certified in several psychometric and 360 instruments. He is fluent and works extensively in English and Spanish.
