Enrique J. Zaldivar
Enrique J. Zaldivar is founding partner, Inspired-Inc., professor of leadership and organization development, and author of Your Unique Cultural Lens: A guide to cultural competence, published in 2020.
He is convinced that effective leaders create culturally appropriate conditions for organizational success, producing results as well as sustainable, effective and rewarding workplaces. His results-based approach to consulting and coaching (called Inspired Leading) emphasizes harnessing the creative energy between being authentic and accountable. Enrique has worked with over 10,000 leaders in 50 countries, in a wide variety of sectors, and individually coached over 1,000 leaders, including CEOs and other C-level executives, leaders in the arts, elected leaders, and mid-level managers, in Fortune-500 multinationals, midsize companies, non-profit orgs, supra-nationals and governments. He lives in the Washington, D.C., area, practices Qigong and meditation daily; enjoys tennis, hiking, reading and painting oil canvases. He is proud of his two mechanical engineer sons and baby granddaughters.
An aspiring “renaissance man”, Enrique has excelled as leader in many sectors and roles, ranging from CEO of a small chain of retail stores to regional director for a large construction company, and from chief risk officer at a large international bank to university professor. He understands the pressures placed on leaders and skillfully guides them in a process of discovery, prioritization, and action. He has taught at American University’s MS in OD, Universidad Iberoamericana, LaSalle University, and Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).
Enrique earned a: BS in Civil Engineering from La Salle University in Mexico City, MS in Operations Research and PD in Management Science & Finance, both from George Washington University, and an ICF-Certificate in Leadership Coaching from Georgetown University. He is also certified to administer several 360 and psychometric instruments. He is fluent and works extensively in English and Spanish.
